Vanya Vijnana is a flagship nature education initiative by the Wildlife Conservation Group (WCG), designed to foster environmental awareness and scientific curiosity among students and communities. Through experiential learning, nature trails, workshops, and interactive sessions, the program connects participants with local biodiversity and ecological knowledge. Vanya Vijnana aims to inspire a deep appreciation for nature and promote responsible environmental stewardship.

Vanya Vijnana Kalike
WCG’s Vanya Vijnana Kalike program focuses on integrating nature education into the academic experience of students in government schools situated near forest fringes. By regularly visiting these schools, WCG members engage students through outdoor learning activities like nature walks, simple experiments, wildlife-themed creative sessions, and interactions with local ecological knowledge holders. The aim is to cultivate observation skills, environmental sensitivity, and a meaningful connection to the biodiversity surrounding them.

Vanya Vijnana Pradarshana is a traveling wildlife photography exhibition that brings the beauty and diversity of nature to schools, colleges, and community spaces. Featuring captivating images captured by WCG members, each exhibition is a visual storytelling experience where the photographers explain the uniqueness and importance of each species. Since its inception in 2010, the initiative has reached over 5,000 individuals, sparking curiosity and raising awareness about wildlife conservation in a compelling and accessible format.

Vanya Vijnana Shibira
Vanya Vijnana Shibira is WCG’s nature camp program aimed at immersing students—especially those from forest-edge communities—in intensive, multi-day nature education experiences. Held annually since 2010 in places like Bannerghatta and Bandipur National Parks, these camps offer a mix of adventure and learning through guided nature treks, group games, expert talks, eco-friendly activities, and reflective campfire sessions. The goal is to create a lasting emotional and intellectual bond with nature among participants.

Vanya Vijnana Spardha
Vanya Vijnana Spardha fosters environmental awareness through creative and competitive engagement. WCG organizes regular nature and wildlife-themed competitions for school students, such as quizzes, drawing and essay contests, and model-making activities. These events are designed not only to test knowledge but also to cultivate a love for nature, encourage teamwork, and motivate students to explore environmental topics beyond the classroom in a fun and inspiring way.

Vanya Vijnana Vihaara
Through Vanya Vijnana Vihaara, WCG offers experiential learning journeys for students via guided visits to ecologically rich sites like Bannerghatta Biological Park, the Safari, and Butterfly Park. These field-based learning experiences are designed to complement classroom education with nature-themed storytelling, role plays, creative activities, and direct observation of wildlife. The program encourages young minds to think critically about ecology, develop compassion for wildlife, and connect textbook knowledge with real-world phenomena.
